Jake Viramontez is a director and entrepreneur who believes in the power of storytelling to move people and build movements. For over 20 years, he’s traveled the globe telling human-first stories for some of the world’s most iconic brands, including Sony, Google, and Chevrolet. With a deep focus on social impact, Jake helped lead Sony’s Create Action campaign, raising over $4 million for nonprofits across the U.S. and directing more than 35 short documentaries for Sony Alpha. He is also the Executive Director of Sown, a nonprofit dedicated to storytelling for social good. Through Sown, Jake and his cofounder Jeven have built a global network of volunteer filmmakers, helping NGOs raise millions through emotionally powerful films that drive awareness and real-world change. Jake’s belief that storytelling isn’t just a tool for marketing it’s the soul of the brand itself.
